Pawn shop tubes.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I wanted to do something different with California. You'll be surprised how this turns out. keeping the words on these short. Letting the photos do the talking.

Lenny

So, we met this guy Lenny at the local pawn shop in San Clemente.  We scored a pretty nice 1969 vintage Hobie transitional from him.  Pretty sketchy character, but the board was a hell of a deal!

Stay tuned to what goes on with this thing.  

Gold.

Just a quarter mile down the beach the ASP was crowning the 2008 world champion of 9-foot shortboarding, while we ran up the beach to try and get away from the circus.  Finding waves isn't too hard in California.  It's more about trying to find a wave without 20 other people on it.  We managed to find a little more then a peak to ourselves and scored some late afternoon California gold.
